事情的起因是本月9日在KAT-TUN的冠名節目《Cartoon KAT-TUN》的收錄。一名20多歲的KAT-TUN歌迷指出：「去參加了節目的朋友告訴我，當天似乎仁君沒有來。工作人員告訴台下的大家他因為感染了新型流感……為了康複在自己家休養中。但是當天錄製了兩集節目，第二次工作人員又跟大家說是‘得了腸胃炎所以缺席了’。居然兩次說法不同真是不可思議，無論如何他正在飛快複原中，安心了。」

　　正因為有這樣的疑問，所以網上開始有了讓眾多KAT-TUN粉絲人心不穩的傳聞「赤西仁錄節目不來是裝病，計劃什麼時候就退出KAT-TUN」。不過當初也有赤西仁明明生病，但是還被不少人惡意指責「不工作是因為去玩了」「說不定只是單純被冷藏了吧？」的時候。

　　有日本媒體指出，赤西仁的好朋友城田優感染了新型流感，弟弟颯太也感冒了，周圍不少人相繼生病。赤西仁本身身體素質就不是太好，要真是感染了也並不會讓人覺得奇怪。(布布/文)

The article stated that after Yamashita Tomohisa(NEWS) and Nishikido Ryo(NEWS) got influenza, Kanjani8's Yokoyama Yuu, Okura Tadayoshi and Yasuda Shota got it too. Then, Akanishi Jin(KAT-TUN) is rumoured to have gotten it too but it might not be true since he isn't quarantine and is still going to work.
Then, during the recording of Cartoon KAT-TUN on 09/10/2009, a fan girl went and she said that Jin was absent and the staff claimed he was recuperating due to influenza A. However, the staff said he had gotten gastric flu during recording of another episode so reasons for Jin's absence are contradictory.
Also, Jin's good friend, Shirota Yuu has apparently gotten the flu and so has Yuu's brother.
Okay here's the thing. Jin is super close to Pi, Ryo, Yuu & his brother(as we all know), so it won't be a surprise with Jin is has it! O:

and omg waimin fell.HARD.

we were running the first round and there was this protruding wall right after we pass the 'checkpoint' and woah i almost slam into it but i didnt (^^) so i continued but then i heard a freakin loud 'PIANG' and the next thing i saw was waimin, face flat on the floor. with brock lee strewn to one side D: MAJOR OUCH!
